Now, three years after le Carré’s death and with the co-operation of his family, Sisman is able to able to offer an even more revelatory portrait. The Secret Life of John le Carré is, the author Nicholas Shakespeare writes: “Not merely the conclusive homage to a compulsively fascinating character, but an insightful study into the biographical process itself.”
